It’s been a while since Laura and I collaborated on a piece, but that won’t sop us from doing it again… sporadically and without warning!
The process for this piece went a little different from our last collaboration. This time Laura did all the line work by hand. Then I scanned and colored it in Photoshop. I also did all the screen printing myself. This was my first time experimenting with split fountain (gradient of 2 inks on 1 screen) and using glitter inks. Actually, I think it was also my first time using colored paper too. Overall, I’m very happy with the results.
It a very eye-popping experience to view in person. It’s huge 20×26″ print on super vibrant French Glo-Tone paper. On top of all that, we added some iridescent glitter to the flower details. *:・ﾟSPAAARKLEY*:・ﾟ!
Speaking of seeing it in person, it will be on view TONIGHT through May 11, 2015 at Guzu Gallery in Austin TX.
Additionally, the artwork will be available for purchase in their online store on Monday, April 13 around Noon CST.
