I’m the guy hand that comes from the right and draws the app menu, and later changes the thought bubble into a word bubble, and later writes the @NPRandroid at the end.
You can read about the making of the video on the blog director John Pavlus of Small Mammal. There you can also see a photo of our in-between-takes whiteboard doodles, including my scribble likeness of John himself. I’m not even sure he knows it’s supposed to be him.
It was load of fun to be a part of the shoot along with Heather Willems of Image Think, who has plenty more whiteboard experience than I. I also met several other awesome artist type peoples who “build” the polished app in the vid, all of whom are listed in the NPR blog.
