Whipped out the ol’ pen nib and ink this weekend. Never could have done it if not for combining supplies with Laura. It was a team effort between her lone pen-nib and my only nib-holder, her one bottle of sumi ink and my last bristol board pad.
Anyway here’s a sketch I did while dipping my toes into the inkwell. It’s the character I’m slowly starting to call Noodle Bear. Feels as soon as I start to do some hatching with a nib I start to feel like I’m channeling Herriman. I could only wish.
